Hachiro Maekawa 1912-2009

Hachiro Maekawa, last surviving member of the original 1936 Yomiuri Giants (when he played with Seiichi Hayashi) as well as a teammate of Noboru Aota's on the 1946 Hankyu Braves, died today. He was 97. Please see a short bio and link to his first pitch ceremony here.
